Getting Started

The Express Hosting account allows uploading files via FTP only. You may use either your real domain name or the temporary domain name for your account.

Please change your password by logging into iManager and clicking on "User Profile."

Features

The Express Hosting account uses a few directories for specific parts of your web site. Look in the "www" directory (Windows may call it a "folder") and you will see the following:

  • your_domain_name — The directory with the same name as your domain is the "document root" for your web site. Files put in this directory will appear on your web site. Files which are not in this directory will not appear on your web site. The URLs for this directory are http://your_domain_name/ and http://www.your_domain_name/. If you have more than one web site, you will have more than one of these directories, one for each web site.
  • cgi-bin — You can put CGI scripts in this directory, if you have any. This is the place to put little programs like FormMail. The URLs for this directory are http://your_domain_name/cgi-bin/and http://www.your_domin_name/cgi-bin/
  • logs — The access and error log files for your web site will be in this directory.

Tips

Use iManager to change your password and check your disk space. Log in and then click "User Profile."

If you find that you are running out of disk space, look in your www/logs directory and delete old log files. You can use either FTP or File Manager within iManager to do this.
